Being a dancer for 16 years inspired me to create sequences that flow like a dance while remaining athletic, dynamic and that ensure to increase strength and flexibility. This allows students to quiet their minds and move with the rhythm of their breath. In my Vinyasa flow classes I use every part of your mat to make my sequences interesting and vibrant. Front, back, side to side, you name it! We will use your mat and your movement to the fullest. I will always be a student of yoga and I hope to spread its benefits for many years to come.
After struggling silently with anxiety and panic attacks in my late teens and twenties, I decided to find my breath again. Anxiety had changed my breathing to shallow, panicked breaths. I walked into my first yoga class at 28 years old after the birth of my first child. It was a way to allow him to play and socialize, while I could get some "me time." Little did I know how much I would connect to my teacher and to this beautiful practice. I felt alive, I felt strong and I was breathing again.
I completed my yoga teacher training in February 2013 with Sattva yoga out of Redmond, WA, and studied under Ali Valdez, Liz Doyle and Frances Rhodis as well as world renowned founder of Universal Yoga, Andrey Lappa. I now teach power vinyasa flow as well as kids, teens, restorative, hatha, corporate yoga and SOON pre and postnatal yoga. I will always be a student and am working toward my 500 hour certificate with Power Moves Yoga in Batavia as well as my Prenatal yoga training with Edge Yoga School in Naperville. Cheers, yogis!
P.S. If you were wondering, my last name is pronounced Cam-pahn-ya. xoxo
